Question by Jrem: Why doesn’t the football premier league copy IPL cricket for foreign players?

In the Indian Twenty 20 Cricket teams can only have up to four overseas players playing on the pitch for a match.

They can have more overseas players but only four can play at any one time.

This i feel is a good method to ensure that there is talent from the english premier league and its players for home grown players.

If a team does not follow these rules then they will be penalised and fined.

I see no problem with having foreign players in the Premier League. We’re all human, why should we be defined and categorised by the piece of land we happened to be born on?
