The agent of Brazil international Paulo Henrique Ganso claims Manchester United are one of three clubs vying for the signature of his client.
According to Mario Miele, AC Milan are also contesting the Barclays Premier League champions for the Santos midfielder, while Qatari-backed Paris Saint-Germain are leading the race.
“On Ganso it’s PSG, then Milan and Man Utd,” Miele told calciomercatonews.com. “My impression is PSG will soon meet the buy-out clause.”
Ganso has reportedly been identified by Sir Alex Ferguson as a potential alternative to Inter Milan playmaker Wesley Sneijder, as the United boss attempts to bring a replacement for Paul Scholes to Old Trafford.
However, it was claimed on Tuesday that United had agreed a fee with Inter for the Holland international, with Sneijder now having to take a wage-cut to complete a move to Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, as well as supposedly beating United to Ganso, PSG are said to be considering a bid in the region of £18 million for Dimitar Berbatov.
