FC Toronto continued with their impressive pre-season form with a 14 nil win against Sunday league side Waters Edge at the King Richard school ground. On Sunday 24th July 2011. FC Toronto dominated from the start with their usual passing game and the team which is unrecognisable from the old FC Toronto raced into a 8 nil half time lead with four goals from Ismael Sanha, Nick Simister, and Tom Gray. Even despite Manger Gary Louca bringing on several substitutes at half time and Waters Edge trying to strengthen their side FC Toronto where still way too strong and added a further 6 goals. FC Toronto who have now only lost two out of their last 21 games whilst Gary Louca has been in charge, have by far much tougher opposition coming up with games against Liphook reserves this Saturday 4pm kick off and several Sunday premier teams and finally FC Castle the Havant Sunday cup winners. Its been a nine month rebuilding revolution at FC Toronto with numerous players now catching the eye of the big local semi pro clubs. Manager Gary Louca quoted as saying ” At FC Toronto we can’t compete at the moment with the semi pro clubs with stadiums and those who pay wages, but we have a long term vision to have own ground and eventually stadium. Its is rumoured that there could be major financial investment coming into FC Toronto from an overseas and UK based consortium, but at the moment Gary Louca is keeping tight lipped about this, preferring to concentrate on the progression of the team
