How would I go about setting up a Sunday league football team?

Question by Scott Pollington Woods: How would I go about setting up a Sunday league football team?

Usual story; bunch of slightly overweight bored lads want to start a football team. We’re based in Teddington, Middlesex and would like to start next season.

I understand that you need to apply soonish and was wondering what considerations should be made and how to get the ball rolling (excuse the pun). We have a core of about 16 interested players and we’re pretty confident that we’ll be reliable.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Firstly, pretty obviously you would need somewhere to play! Then you would need to find out which league you would have to play in. . . The local paper would have Sunday league results. From that you might find a website that belongs to said league. I would imagine they would give information as to how you would. Two things i am not sure on are this. The assigned manager may need an f a coaching badge. 2. The other clubs might have to elect you by vote. Good luck.
